Description

This Tanto is a Unique Piece. 

  • Hand-forged blade of XC75 carbon steel with Shobu Zukuri type blade. Selective clay quenching, clear and visible temper line.
  • Nagasa:  260mm
  • Kassane:  6.5mm
  • Moto haba: 29.8 mm
  • Hamon: Gunome-Midare.
  • Habaki: hardened copper, forged on the blade.
  • Tsuba: Polished and blackened iron.
  • Seppas: filed brass
  • Tsuka length 144mm. Non-siliquous jackfruit wood covered with white big grain same, Japanese silk braided in  Ineri maki stype. Flower Menuki in alloy. Bamboo Mekugi. Fushi- Kashira aged iron and surfaced in Nanako, Ito dome in guilloche brass.
  • Saya in non-siliceous jackfruit wood covered with smooth red lacquer. Kurigata, Koigushi and Kojiri in water buffalo horn.
  • Total length 430 mm, weight 519 gr
